Licensing system

RS-Systems licensing: trial period and time-based billingOn first use, the plugin automatically activates a free 90-day trial, with no account required. After the trial ends, three options are available:

• Buy a licence for this plugin — it works forever

• Enable time-based billing — 1 cent per minute of actual work

• Uninstall the pluginWith time-based billing, one wallet is shared across the entire RS-Systems product line: a single payment gives access to all plugins that support time-based billing. Connect using an XXXX-XXXX code on rs-systems.org; no password is required. Only actual work time is charged: input in windows, running commands, and background processing. An idle window is free. Without internet access, the plugin continues working for the remainder of the current paid minute.

2.0.32–2.0.36 | 09.10.2026

• Licence protection has been strengthened: setting the computer clock back does not extend a trial or licence (the plugin reports: “The computer clock has been set back. Set the correct date and time.”), and trials already underway are not reset. A purchased licence activates automatically in the background after reinstalling Windows or Revit and after purchasing it from another device.
• Usage data transmission has been minimised: only an indication that the plugin is in use and accumulated working minutes are sent. The installation ID, versions, licence status, and details of your actions in the model are not transmitted.

• In the Family Editor, forms appear as separate rows in the list: “Extrusion,” “Blend,” “Revolve,” “Sweep,” “Swept Blend,” “Form,” “Free Form,” and “Joined Geometry.” Previously, all solids in one category were combined into one row, and its checkbox selected them all at once.
• Each row has its own count, parameters, and rules: a parameter rule for extrusions does not affect sweeps. A parameter that is the same across the only solid in a row appears under “Same for All.” Grouping in projects is unchanged.
• Fixed: the plugin window could fail to open when the selection contained elements without a category.

2.0.29–2.0.30 | 05.10.2026

• Access priority: plugin licence → regional promotion → trial period → time-based billing. A new plugin is free for the first 90 days; charges begin afterwards. Time-based billing works online only: without a connection or with a zero balance, new commands and panels do not start, but windows already open and processing already underway are not interrupted. The remaining balance and “Top Up” button are in the status bar.

• Fixed: small plugin windows no longer stretch across the full screen width and now size to their content.

2.0.17–2.0.20 | 28–29.09.2026

• Website updates have been reworked: the check now distinguishes between an up-to-date version, an available update, an unpublished installer, and an unavailable website. Downloads run in the background with progress and cancellation; the installer is verified using SHA-256 and launched after Revit closes. “Settings” brings together the theme, licence, updates, and build information. Ribbon button placement has been standardized: Params in Manage, Browser in Tools, and MCP in AI.

• The RS-Systems interface has been updated: Manage / Tools / Models / AI panels, compact uniform buttons with short English labels, Revit-style icons for light and dark themes, automatic window placement within the monitor work area with DPI awareness, and optional colouring of Revit view tabs by project or file.
• Selection in the Family Editor now more closely matches Revit’s built-in “Filter”: family solids/forms use the family category if Revit does not return an element category; elements without a category no longer disappear; subcategories are shown as “Category (Subcategory),” and the count includes all selected elements.

• The “equals,” “does not equal,” “contains,” and “does not contain” rules support multiple values with checkboxes. Values within a rule are combined with OR; different rules are combined with AND. Negative rules exclude all checked values.
• The value list provides search, select all, clear all, and a count. Bulk actions apply to visible search results, preserving checked values outside the filter. Selecting a value enables the rule and category; an empty set does not narrow the selection.
• Numeric comparisons still use a single value. Esc closes the value list first. Large lists are virtualised; themes and 16 interface languages are supported. There are no presets or numeric ranges; sets are not saved after the window closes.
