Distance-based haze
Haze density increases with scene depth. Set the fade start distance and blend curve, and the plugin applies them to the atmospheric effect.
AerialPerspective adds controllable distance-based atmospheric haze to 3ds Max exterior visualization scenes. A single parameter set controls haze density, colour, falloff start and blend strength. The effect reads scene depth automatically and requires no scene geometry changes.
Aerial perspective—the effect that makes distant objects appear hazier and lower in contrast—is a key cue of realism in exterior visualization. AerialPerspective provides focused controls for tuning the effect without changing scene geometry or materials.
Haze density increases with scene depth. Set the fade start distance and blend curve, and the plugin applies them to the atmospheric effect.
A single control sets the overall haze strength. Fade start and blend width use scene units, so the effect follows real project distances.
Set the haze color separately. Use a cool, desaturated blue for natural atmospheric depth or a warm amber tone for dusty or early-morning scenes.
AerialPerspective reads scene depth automatically. No extra geometry, Z-depth pass or compositing setup is required.
The plugin adds an atmospheric layer without modifying or creating scene geometry. Materials and lighting remain unchanged.
The effect integrates with V-Ray and Corona atmospheric workflows and renders alongside other effects without conflicts.
